for comfort and safety, it is important to get the proper size for pouch-style slings. the curve/seam of the baby sling should sit on or just above the hip bone. generally, z’fina slings fit slightly larger than similar baby carriers. a good rule of thumb is to go down a size from what is normally worn in a fitted t-shirt.

the size of the child should not influence the size of the baby sling. the same pouch-style sling can be used for newborn babies to toddlers up to 35 pounds/ 15.5 kilos. if the sling is too small, it will dig into baby’s legs and it is difficult to get him/her in and out. if the baby sling is too large, it feels as if baby is going to fall out and his/her feet bump into the carrier’s legs while walking.

to get a proper fit, use a soft measuring tape to get the measurement from the middle of the shoulder to the top of the opposite hip bone. use the chart below to select the appropriate size:
